In collaboration with Stagetext, a leading deaf-led charity advocating for accessible theatre, Peak Signal contributed to an important research project exploring the integration of captioning in extended reality (XR) performances. This whitepaper highlights our joint research, driven by the increasing interest in XR among artists and theatre makers. Stagetext brought their expertise in accessible captioning while Peak Signal provided the technological insights to identify an approach to providing repeatable captioning solutions in extended reality environments
